Located halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego, Laguna Niguel is a 13.8 square mile planned community in South Orange County and is surrounded by the cities of Aliso Viejo, Mission Viejo, San Juan Capistrano, Dana Point, Laguna Beach and Laguna Hills. A general law City, Laguna Niguel has a council-manager form of government and a population of 60,108.

Over one-third of Laguna Niguel is designated for open space and this is one of the key features that defines the character and urban form of our City.
